Dear friends and supporters,
We are so proud to have been at the forefront of the movement to thank front line workers here in Montréal. Tuesday May 5th is GivingTuesday Now, a special day of generosity and support in light of COVID-19.
The staff of the ICU at the Jewish General Hospital (JGH) were so kind and caring during Jackie’s three month stay there five years ago that it has been our honour to support them since then and especially at this time.
We are equally proud and honoured to be supporting La Rue Des Femmes (LRDF) a shelter for women in a state of homelessness, with three homes in downtown montreal.
You can learn more about this incredible organization, their work over the past 25 years and our endowment of a Clinic in Jackie’s name here.
As these surreal times persist we would like to continue helping our greater community by sending more sustaining meals to the staff of the Emergency Room (120 meals per shift) the ICU, (50 meals per shift) and the Anesthesia department (30 meals per shift) at the JGH, who are caring for increasing numbers of Covid patients daily.
We would be honoured as well to send much needed additional funds to LRDF as they try to meet the needs of the women who face unimaginable challenges at this difficult time.
To this end we are asking for your contribution and participation.
Your donation to the Jaclyn Fisher Foundation today will have a trifecta effect as you will be helping
- The organization of your choice, the JGH or LRDF
- The restaurants or other service providers to keep their employees and have some much needed income.
- Honouring Jackie’s memory and legacy.
Your name will be included on a card sent by the foundation to the charity you’ve selected along with your gift.
$1 = $2 💕 Together we can do more good!
In appreciation of your donation until midnight of Sunday May 10th, 2020 (Mother’s Day) the Fisher family will match your donation dollars to a maximum of $25,000.
Imagine the good we can all do together!
We are so grateful for your consideration and on going support and wish you continued good health, safety, patience and calm.
As always, we invite you to visit this page frequently for updates and information about the causes we support.
